Eucalyptus Tea

Eucalyptus leaf tea is known for its antiseptic cooling and expectorant properties to treat and prevent colds and coughs.  Pour 1 cup of boiled water over up to 1/2 teaspoon of the dried eucalyptus leaves (or 1-2 fresh leaves). Cover and steep for 10 minutes; strain. Sweeten with honey, to taste. You can drink up to 2 - 3 cups a day.   While you sip the tea, relax, breathe and inhale the steam rising from the cup.

Mother's Lion Strengthen Your Heart

Motherwort  (Leonurus cardiaca) is one of few medicinal herbs that can affect beneficially Anahata or Heart Chakra. For centuries this herb was used as a nerve tonic, diaphoretic (enhances perspiration), antispasmodic (calms nerves and muscular spasms), as a remedy for heart palpitation, anxiety attacks, high blood pressure.  English herbalist M. Use 2 teaspoons of dried motherwort to 1 cup of hot water for a homemade tea. You can drink up to 2-3 cups daily.The taste is very bitter so you may have to get used to it first.
Motherwort is a very beneficial and powerful unique herb. While it doesn’t cause harmful side effects you still should use it with care. Talk to a doctor or health professional if you are pregnant, have an existing heart condition, or on any type of medication.

Yellow Loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata)

Yellow Loosestrife has long history in folk medicine. This plant has astringent, choleretic, tonic, anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic and wound-healing effect. One may drink infusion of herb against diarrhea, jaundice, scurvy, cramps, general weakness, and coughing up blood and bleeding. Take one tablespoon of herbs pour 1 cup of boiling water and infuse for 3 hours, then strain. Drink 2 tablespoons 3 times daily before meals.The crushed fresh leaves of the plant can be applied to bleeding wounds.

Comfrey

One of the oldest medicinal plants, its name, derived from the Greek σuμ-φuω  means "connect". Paracelsus used comfrey for treating wounds, ulcers and various bone diseases.The main quality of comfrey is its ability to accelerate regeneration of damaged tissues, especially bone. It is used for any bone disease, rheumatoid lesions of the joints and gout, osteochondrosis, arthritis and arthrosis, periostitis, dislocations, fractures, sciatica, osteomyelitis, thrombophlebitis, bone tuberculosis.

Root has a regenerative, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, astringent, expectorant, enveloping, hypotensive, stimulant, anti-tumor effect, stops the process of tissue necrosis.

Decoction of the roots: 100 grams of comfrey roots boil for about 10 minutes in 1 liter of water (or 2 tablespoons in 1 cup water), then filter and make a warm compress. Fresh juice of the plant is used to stop the wound and nasal bleeding. Lotions and compresses of comfrey can halp to heal bone fractures, dislocations, sprains and torn ligaments.


All parts of plant comfrey contain toxic alkaloids. Excluded from the list of medicinal plants approved for  internal use in several countries (USA, Canada, Germany, France, Britain and others) in connection with the unsafe effects on the liver and potential carcinogenicity.

Hawthorn For the Health of Your Heart

Hawthorn reduces pain, relieves feeling of heaviness and compression of the heart, regulate blood pressure (high - reducing, reduction - improves) helps to get deep, calm and lasting sleep. Hawthorn preparations are used for angina, hypertension, atherosclerosis, anxiety.
Usage:  Take 3 tbsp. of equal parts fruit and flowers of hawthorn,  pour 3 cups boiling water and infuse for 1-2 hours, then strain. Take 1 glass 3 times a day 30min. before meals or one hour after eating.

St. John's Wort



St. John's wort is one of the most popular medicinal herbs in herbal tradition. It is used in astenic conditions, neurosis and neurastenia, headaches and insomnia, can be effective as anti-inflammatory and analgetic for sciatica. St. John's wort is useful for the treatment of gastrointestinal tract problems (gastritis, ulcers, enterocolitis), liver and gall bladder diseases. For its outstanding healing properties St. John's wort was previously considered as a magical plant.

Preparation:

Make an infusion of 1 tablespoon of the dry herb with 1,5 glass of boiling water. Drink 1/3 of a cup 3 times a day, 20-40 minutes before meal.
